Senior Information Technology Manager – Infrastructure & Analytics

About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, technical leader to manage LBS’s IT infrastructure and analytics programs. You’ll report to the VP of IT Operations and partner closely with data teams, application owners, and business stakeholders. Your remit includes ensuring our servers, networks, and endpoints are reliable, while also building out business-intelligence dashboards and self-service analytics for various departments.

Key Responsibilities

1.     Infrastructure & Operations (60%)

o   Lead a team of 4–6 engineers (network admins, system admins, help-desk) to maintain on-premise servers, virtual machines (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud resources (AWS/Azure).

o   Oversee day-to-day operations: patch management, incident response (target MTTR < 2 hrs), and capacity planning.

o   Ensure high availability of core systems (ERP, CRM, SharePoint, BI platforms) with > 99.5% uptime.

o   Manage help-desk escalations, SLAs, and vendor support for hardware and software.

2.     Analytics & Reporting (25%)

o   Own the delivery of operational dashboards (Power BI, Tableau) that track key metrics (ticket volumes, server utilization, application performance).

o   Partner with Finance, Sales, and Operations to gather requirements and build self-service reports (ETL pipelines, dimensional modeling).

o   Coordinate with data architects and data analysts to ensure data accuracy and governance in the enterprise data warehouse.

3.     Project & Change Management (10%)

o   Lead medium-sized IT projects (e.g. upgrading network infrastructure, migrating on-prem apps to the cloud, rolling out new endpoint security tools).

o   Follow best practices (ITIL change management, Agile/Scrum for smaller deliverables).

o   Work with cross-functional teams (Security, Compliance, Business Units) to plan go-lives and minimize downtime.

4.     Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement (5%)

o   Mentor and develop a team of engineers, setting quarterly goals and conducting performance reviews.

o   Present monthly IT/Analytics updates to senior stakeholders (CFO, Head of Operations, business-unit leaders), translating technical issues into business impact.

o   Build strong vendor relationships (network hardware, cloud providers, BI tool vendors) to ensure timely support and competitive pricing.

Required Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field. Master’s or MBA preferred but not required.

·       7+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 years managing an IT operations team.

·       Hands-on background with:

o   Networking: LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi (Cisco, Juniper), firewall and VPN technologies.

o   Servers/Virtualization: Windows Server, Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu), VMware/Hyper-V.

o   Cloud: AWS or Azure (compute, storage, identity).

o   Endpoint Management: SCCM, Intune, or equivalent MDM systems.

·       Experience building dashboards and reports with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools; familiarity with SQL and data-warehouse concepts.

·       Solid understanding of ITIL processes (incident, change, and problem management).

·       Excellent communication skills—able to work with both technical teams and non-technical business leaders.

·       Proven track record delivering projects on time and within budget (e.g., a 20% reduction in ticket volume or a successful cloud migration).

Preferred Skills & Attributes

·       Certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Network+, or ITIL Foundation.

·       Exposure to DevOps or automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins) is a plus.

·       Prior experience with cybersecurity basics (patching, endpoint protection, vulnerability scanning).

·       Familiarity with GDPR/data‐privacy best practices.

·       Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and retain top technical talent.
